Movies Updated

I was getting tattooed last friday and my tattoo guy Joey and I most of what we talk about is movies, so we dicussed some of the new movies coming out. Just a few are Wolverine, GI Joe, Ironman 2, The Avengers, Thor, Tranformers 2, Spiderman 4 &5 and Batman 3.
I've read that Spiderman 4 & 5 are going to be filmed together ala Lord of the rings. Kirsten Dunst has also reportedly been dropped as Mary Jane, no word on if this is true or not.
Universal Studios is making the best breakthrough though. With unifying all the story lines of The Avengers/Ironman/The Hulk etc. they have so many more concepts to run with. Something the X-Men series should have thought about. Robert Downey Jr. is set to star again in Ironman 2 with Sam L. Jackson having a more prominent role as Nick Fury. Don Cheadle may also be in the movie as War Machine. Cheadle and Downey Jr. are also on board for The Avengers projects.
Supossedly Superman will be getting re-done also. As in saying forget Superman Returns ever happened.
All of these movie have Director Christopher Nolan to thank for them seeing the light of day. If he hadn't done such an amazing job with Batman Begins and The Dark Knight these other directors would not have the visions that they now have. Nolan has gone on record saying that he doesn't think a Batman 3 is a good idea.
Last but not least my favorite toy as a kid was GI Joe's. Finally they are making the real-life movie, granted the animated on was good but with the success of Transformers, the GI Joe producers are looking to capitalize on the nostalgia. Check out some of the pics of Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Duke and others here:

Well that is all for this update.

Softball Tourney

I pitched in my first Utrip tourney this past weekend and it was crazy. Basically homerun derby with some fun. The pitcher can basically do anything he wants at the mound to throw off the batter. Here's a video of what its like.

I can't believe I still have this

So back in 2006 I went to visit my boy Eric in Florida, where he was in school. Well we came up with a game called drinking baseball. We were drinking and taking shots. All the sudden we decide we need to see if we can capture that stupid face you make after you take a straight shot of a hard liquor. Here's what transpired.

Let's Go Rays!

Well since my New York Mets missed the playoffs (yet again!) I have been rooting for the Tampa Bay Rays to win. I can't root for the Phillies because they won the didvision over the Mets and I'm a little bitter. I don't want the Red Sox to win because they won last year. I wanted to see the Dodgers but they couldn't get it together. So I say lets go rays! I'm not going to jump on a bandwagon or anything I just want to see this team who hadn't won any more that 70 games ever before this season make it to the World Series. BJ Upton is a local boy so that helps too. This is going to be a non viewed World Series, but if you watch root for the Rays.

Chuck Palahniuk

Well it has been confirmed now that Chuck Palahniuk is coming out with another book. On May 5, 2009 Pygmy will hit stores. I can't wait because lately Chuck has been stepping out of his normal mindfuck books and delivering a new style of mindfuck book with a twist attached. This book sounds like something that could go on in the world today, as with most of his books, but this one as a little bit more realistic feel to it. They are already pre-selling the book on Amazon.com. That's how much anticipation there is for this book.

Check out his page its on the Check Out These links on the right.

If you haven't read any of his books I suggest you start. He is an amazing author. He has two books that have been turned into movies (Fight Club and Choke) and three more in the works (Survivor, Invisible Monsters and Rant). If I had to suggest a book to read that shows his twisted way of thinking and writing style I would say either Survivor or Choke.

GO SEE CHOKE IN THEATERS!!!!

My Favorite Beatle!

Oh how do I love the sound of John Lennon's music. When he was with The Beatles, by himself and even with Yoko Ono his music was amazing. It just really sucks that 28 years ago Mark David Chapman had to shoot him because he was "John Lennon's Biggest Fan". That's horseshit! I am so glad this asshole is still in prison and keeps getting denied parole. Lennon would still be making music today at the age of 68 and probably collaborating with his sons Julian and Sean and maybe just maybe Ringo and Paul. One could only hope. Well today would be Lennon's birthday, I wish he was here to celebrate it.
I ask anyone who reads this to just take a moment and play a John Lennon song today. Be it from The Beatles or his solo work just take a moment and listen to the musician who loved the human race and taught us to Imagine. R.I.P.

Jack is Back!

I cannot believe that finally 24 is back on the air. Mark your calenders for Nov 23 2008. That is the 2 hour premiere of 24 Redemption. I am so F-ing excited I seriously cannot wait. They have had over a year to write and rewrite this season so I hope they do it justice bc I know I'm not the only one who watches this show. Who's with me?
